Tell them you are having some problems and want them to help you. If you are responsible about it and you acknowlege that you care about your grades and want to raise them, they shouldn't blow up at you.

Also, I agree math does suck.♥

If you are really having trouble with math then tell them you are having trouble with math, they should me more than happy to help you find a solution. Either a tutor or something. If you want to tell them your staying after, so you can go out with your friends then thats a different story lol. Its not good to lie to parents they know everything lol

Yes, by all means let them know that you want extra help with some math. Using that approach will not only soften the blow that your grades aren't up to par, but will make them feel involved in your life.
If the after school tutors/teachers aren't available, there are online tutors who can help you, too. Good luck and remember that half of any battle is deciding what to do, the easy half is doing it.

you should tell them but not in a mean way that you are not doing so good and ask them for help or to test you and quiz you if you dont want to do that then if your school has some type of tutor you should go after school. I suggest that you tell your mom first.=)
