Nixon ordered the retrieval of his secret oval office taped conversations from a person we only know in history as Deep Throat (Deep Throat's identity is a secret to this day) who snatched it from the oval office stashed at the Watergate Hotel and handed em over to reporters Woodward and Burnstein who then used em in an artice in a washington dc newspaper laying the groundwork for Nixon's impeachment trial

HE AUTHORIZED IT AND PAID FOR IT. IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE. HIS BIGGEST MISTAKE WAS TALKING ABOUT IT OVER THE TELEPHONE BECAUSE ALL OF HIS CALLS WERE RECORDED. THE 1ST PRESIDENT TO TAPE ALL CALLS. HOPE THIS HELPS, GOD BLESS
