I think I'm finally over the shock of being pregnant... it only took me 6 days. Although, I'll probably have up and downs during the pregnancy.

1st minute I froze
2nd minute I practiced breething again
3rd minute I dragged my husband into the bathroom to see the test. Then we had a nice long talk about not telling anyone yet and how much people were to be involved with any babies we have. As well as several other things that I didn't expect would be the first things we discussed. Although it was great we remembered to talk about checking on insurance benefits to make sure it covered pregnancy.

2nd day
Scheduled dr. appointment, which couldn't be fit in at the clinic for a month.

I then googled pregnancy and found the best site:
http://pregnancy.about.com/cs/pregnancycalendar/l/blweek1.htm

The above site is wonderful. It gives a week by week description about the changes your body will be going through and a picture of what the baby will look like. I think I read it like 10 times. It also has a lot of links to great resources.

Then I looked at the sites belly gallery.
http://pregnancy.about.com/sitesearch.htm?terms=belly%20gallery&SUName=pregnancy&TopNode=3711&type=1

It shows tummies in three trimesters. The break the pictures down into the 3 sections. It was very helpful on easing my worries if I was getting too big.

3rd day: I made a list of what items I would need for the nursery. The above site also has a link to a great site that helps clarify needs vs. wants. It has a basic list of items that your baby will need.

http://babyproducts.about.com/od/preparingforbaby/a/basiclayette.htm

Under the list is a bunch of articles about what to look for when buying baby items that were very helpful.

After reading several of the articles, I went to online stores to check out what items are available and around what price range. I saw a few things I would want so I made a registery, but I'm waiting until I look around more and am futher along before I buy anything. (It is hard, but it lets me have more time to look, have fun, and change my mind if I like something better. )

4th day:

I read more on pregnancy and looked at more online stores. I found it fun to go to amazon.com pull up pregnancy books and read through the copied parts of the text online. It gave a lot of information and I was able to see different authors personalities before I actually buy any pregnacy books. One of the funniest ones that I think I'll get from the library is "My Boys Can Swim". It's from the guys perspective so I can share it with my husband and he can laugh right along.

5th day: I went and looked at baby clothes for fun. (looking, not buying, for clothes I'm hoping to go to garage sales and then only buy clothes from the store to supplement items I couldn't find). By the end of looking I was so tired I went home and slept.

I also found some great free online classes that fill any other gaps. The first class really eased my fears about the pain during the labor. It gave some great exercises to prepare your muscles for the birth. http://pregnancy.about.com/od/childbirtheduc/a/cbeclass.htm

6th day: Am relaxing by reading more articles and looking at questions on here. I am also thinking about how I can milk this pregnancy for all it's worth. I figure I better enjoy the milking now in the early stages while I can actually enjoy it. :)
