Loosing someone is never easy. Everybody takes a different period of time to even live with the concept of a loss. What he needs is someone who really cares. You may not understand what he feels but attempt to make him see that positive things are ahead and he has someone that is watching over him.

First of all, he's not makin a big deal out of it. Do you have any idea how hard it is to lose a parent, especially a young boy losing his Dad who he obviously idolized. Get over yourself and think about someone else's feelings.

show him that u care,.. and just lend ur ear
comfort him,.. its really sad u know,..
there is no end of thinking and feeling sad about that,..
cause everytime that he is achiving something he may think that he do hope and how he wish that his dad is still alive to share the achivemnt, or if he is feeling down,.. he can also have the feeling of,.how he wish his dad is around for a man to man talk and all that stuff,.. u see it never ends cause he's dad is a big part of the peron.. and maybe he really idolized him and really wanting to be alive still,..

IT MAY NOT SEEM LIKE A BIG DEAL TO YOU BUT U HAVE TO UNDERSTAND HE LOST HIS FATHER AT A YOUNG AGE SO EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A LONG TIME AGO HE IS STILL GOING TO BE AFFECTED BY IT I MEAN IT WAS HIS FATHER U SHOULD JUST TRY TO BE PATIENT, COMFORT HIM A TRY TO TALK TO HIM
