Sorry for the not so clear question! I am sleepy! hehe

What I wanted to ask is what is a downgrade for a PSP? Why is it needed to make it an older model?

Is it to play copy games and stuff?

People downgrade the PSP to Firmware 1.50 to play homebrew games and UMD games. And install different applications like media players & video and audio codecs. If makes your PSP better more fun. It doesn`t affect your PSP don`t listen to idiots.

Alot of times hacked software is made and then patches come out that will block that hack,( for what ever use it may entail legal or not) either because the make changes to a security hole or they just chains things and maybe they cant use a particular hack like they could before.

people downgrade psp's because they can play iso's and cso's, also they can be downloaded easy. But it is very risky!!!!!
