Assuming the basket is waterproof, there are a few ways you can do it.
Prehistoric man, did it this way, before they invented pottery.
You take some stones, clean of course, put them in an oven, heat them up, and drop them into the water in the basket.
You may have to repeat this a few times, with enough rocks or stones, to get the temperature you want.
Just use a set of tongs, to drop them in the water and to retrieve them, when they cool down a bit.
There are electrical heaters, that you can submerge in the water, available at hardware stores, but they cost money.The stones, are free, and just need to be heated up.
