John Edwards is damaged goods at this point...and I feel it's a bad sign when a party wants to use his "youthful appearance" and "sex appeal" as reasons to VOTE for someone.

See, the whole thing about President Clinton that bothered me early on was the general attitude that it felt to me he was acting like a celebrety, not a President. That's great, he can play the sax, but I don't look to a leader to be "one of the guys". Maybe that's just my age being manifested, but that isn't something I admire in a President.

John Edwards did a good job campaigning, but he got outclassed by a stiff John Kerry, who, in my opinion, should never have gotten the nomination in the first place- and Sen Kerry, by the way, reminded me more of Al Gore than was comfortable to vote for. Al Gore, had he kept the same posture he held during the 1980's, was certainly doomed to failure. The re-imaging and re-inventing transformation he went through during the campaign seemed phony to me because I remembered the way he was before- something I could not relate to.

He still has a chance, but 2008 is a long way off and he has been a ghost in the public arena and has a long way to go if he intends to win the nomination.

get a grip. Hillary Clinton will not run. Kerry will run again and Edwards will be the VP tap. Edwards is very smart. He is also from the south. The women vote is very important. Kerry is weak on that so Edwards can fill that need. Since Kerry won Ohio in 2004, he can do it again. Gore got 50,996,116 votes in 2000. Bush only got 50,456,169 votes.

I certainly hope so! Seems to be honest and intelligent and his wife will bring a lot to the ticket also... We need someone to look up to and respect for a change. We need another CAMELOT!
