I'm going in on Friday to have the big U/S. I was just curious if anyone knows of old wives-tales that can predict what sex the baby will be.

It's a boy if:

You didn't experience morning sickness in early pregnancy
Your baby's heart rate is less than 140 beats per minute
You are carrying the extra weight out front
Your belly looks like a basketball
Your areolas have darkened considerably
You are carrying low
You are craving salty or sour foods
You are craving protein -- meats and cheese
Your feet are colder than they were before pregnancy
The hair on your legs has grown faster during pregnancy
Your hands are very dry
Your pillow faces north when you sleep
Dad-to-be is gaining weight, right along with you
Pregnancy has you looking better than ever
Your urine is bright yellow in color
Your nose is spreading
You hang your wedding ring over your belly and it moves in circles
You are having headaches
You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived and the sum is an even number

It's a girl if:

You had morning sickness early in pregnancy
Your baby's heart rate is at least 140 beats per minute
You are carrying the weight in your hips and rear
Your left breast is larger than your right breast
Your hair develops red highlights
You are carrying high
Your belly looks like a watermelon
You are craving sweets
You are craving fruit
You crave orange juice
You don't look quite as good as normal during pregnancy
You are moodier than usual during pregnancy
Your face breaks out more than usual
You refuse to eat the heel of a loaf of bread
Your breasts have really blossomed!
Your pillow faces south when you sleep
Your urine is a dull yellow color
You hang your wedding ring over your belly and it moves from side to side
You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived and the sum is an odd number

Here are some fun, but not necessarily ture "wives tales" for guessing your baby's gender. Don't by any means go by this though...it's a 50/50 chance no matter what symptoms you're having. Good luck and congrats!

If you or someone you love is struggling to get pregnant, then this will be the most important letter you will ever watch...

- Don't smoke. Smoking ages your ovaries and depletes your eggs prematurely. If you smoke, ask your health care provider to help you quit before conception.
- Don't drink alcohol. Research suggests that drinking alcohol appears to decrease fertility and can harm a developing baby. Generally, it's best to avoid alcohol if you're hoping to conceive.
- Don't take medication without your health care provider's OK. Certain medications — even those available without a prescription — can make it difficult to conceive. Others might not be safe once you're pregnant.
- Don't depend on vaginal lubricants. Various over-the-counter vaginal lubricants can decrease fertility. Saliva can have the same effect. If you need a lubricant, consider mineral oil or canola oil — or ask your doctor for other suggestions.
- Don't overdo strenuous exercise. Although moderate physical activity can help promote fertility, going overboard might have the opposite effect. Some research suggests that five or more hours a week of vigorous aerobic activity can actually impair the fertility of a woman who isn't overweight.

There are many old wives tales, but none of them are true. As far as old wives tales about gender, they have a 50/50 chance of being right, so that's why people still believe them. Have fun and laugh at them, just remember that they aren't true or accurate, especially ones about things you should avoid during your pregnancy that might harm the baby (raising your arms over your head, going to a funeral, etc.)

When is the date that you START your period it has to be the day you start not finnish then get a calender and jump 2 weeks. example: lets just say that you start your period on the 2nd of June two weeks later it is the 16th that would be the time to not have sex because thats when the egg is alive. Don't have sex the 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th and just to be safe the 19th. you egg could come out of the overies a few days before exactly 2 week or a few days after and your egg will stay alive for no more than 48 hours and sperm can stay alive for 72 hours so this week you should not have sex if you don't want a baby but if you do want a baby then this would be the week to have sex.

No. Those wives-tales are just that TALES. People get them backwards all of the time anyway. Half of the population thinks that if your babys heartbeat is over 150 its a boy and the other half think that its a girl.I read an article on these wivestales and found out that most symptoms have nothing to do with the gender they are associated with.

Now everyone can cure infertility using this natural remedy https://shorturl.im/pregnancy-miracle
infertility can run in the family and one of the first things the doctor asks you when you go to a fertility clinic is your family history regarding cases of infertility or other reproductive issues.

If infertility is caused by genetic disorder then it's not unusual that one of the kids (your mom) doesn't have it and another does (your aunt).
two months of trying is still to early to be concerned about the fact that you might be infertile and it's also quite early to go to a fertility specialist. Go to a regular Obgyb to get a closer insight and see what ways there are are to improve your fertility rate.

Also remove alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes from your life because they might influence your chances too. Stress is also a risk factor when it comes to infertility.

the morning sickness thing does not mean anything. I was sick all 9 months with both my boys. and the heart rate thing dos not either, both of the boys I have are 140's in heart rate, so is the I am carrying. three boys. I wish that I could tell. There are some that say that boys are carried higher and girls lower, but I am not sure about that one either. Pregnancy is as different from the baby you are carrying even for the same mother. It is fun to have fun with those, good luck with the girl!
