It is a shame he isn't. In his prime he played for a team that wasn't in the main tv market. Today, with cable tv playing more NBA games, it's easier for a good player in a small market to get exposure. It is still lopsided though. I used to get so tired of seeing the same 5 or six teams play. Anyway, here is the list why, 1) small market team 2) Shorter carrier than normal for a star (remember he came in out of high school). 3) No dunk trophy 4) Turnover prone at the worst times, and prone to fouling out. 5) Overshadowed by Gary Payton. 6) Made some bad decisions off the court.

Lebron focuses extra on prevailing the championship. look at an early age, he delivered the Cavs to the NBA Finals. additionally, there replaced into no rule in the dunk contest that there will be a shot blocker or 2 protecting the slam dunk contestant and could dunk on the defender(s) faces whilst on great protection! Hahaha.

I agree that he is underestimated as far as his dunking ability because he was a bad boy. I think that if you look at the list of some of the greatest dunkers (MJ, Dr. J, Vince, Kobe, Dominique, etc) they usually won at least ONE slam dunk contest. It probably doesn't help that he was a big man, they don't usually get that much respect as great dunkers.

Good question. I think because Shawn was an explosive dunker in games, but in slam-dunk competitions he was going against more spectacular dunkers (Dominique and MJ).
