first of all see if ur keyboard [ps2 cable or usb] it's pluged correctly in ur computer. For newbies fallow the keyboard cable from where it starts to where it end; remove it and plug it back in. If this dosn't do u should reconsider of buying a new keyboard or repairing ur existing one.

Ignore the people who say "plug it in", and the guy who doesn't know what ps2 is. I don't know how much you know about computers, so don't be insulted if I say check it isn't in the mouse port (I'd imagine you know better because you seem to know what BIOS is, but it is a possibility). Next thing; is it a new keyboard that has never been tested before? Or perhaps an old keyboard that is damaged? If I were you, I'd test your keyboard on another machine to rule it out first (you obviously have access to another computer because you managed to ask this question). Alternatively, try other keyboards you know to work on the offending computer. I'm afraid without a keyboard, you won't be able to access your BIOS setup. My only other thoughts are:
• The ps2 port is damaged/disconnected or in some way not working.
• The BIOS is corrupt or has some sort of other problem.
• Some other connection within the computer (on motherboard, or one or more connections to the ps2 port) could be damaged.

The best thing to do is to dump the problem on someone else (i.e. someone who fixes PCs for a living). Go for someone cheap because this problem is not complicated: it will either be a simple fix or a statement that the PC is beyond repair. If it is new, it should be under some warranty or guarantee. If it is old, it is perhaps past its days.

Your keyboard a USB model? flat usb connection? If so the driver that recognizes the keyboard isn't loading and thus your system doesn't and can't see it. Find a traditional old style pin connection keyboard and use that. You can still find these at stores but a friend probably has one in a closet or you do that barely works but works enough.

Use the pin connection keyboard and reboot- the system will see it first thing and then you can hit F1- there is no way 'around' no keybaord except trying a boot disk or boot from CD to reload default drivers and restore some of the system. You mentioned PS2 but rather then a ps2 keyboard I think your are meaning this is a PS2 system?? Don't have any gaming systems myself but they must have a bootable disk or CD option and allow multiple keyboard styles.

make sure its not plugged into the mouse hole, then try another keyboard if it still doesnt work the controller on the board has blown only way round this is to use a usb keyboard instead of a ps2 this depend on if your bios is new enough to recognise usb keyboards and the feature hasnt been turned off in the bios.
failing that you will need a new motherboard available from about £25 upwards

switch mouse and keyboard providing they are both PS2 and reboot, see if you get the same message your keyboard is bad. If now you have no mouse then then the the ps2 socket is bad, then get a USB keyboard.
It could also be the drivers as sombody said but then you would need to reload drivers...and know a little about device manager...

get a new keyboard, I know this sounds stupid, but are the right plugs in the right holes ????, ie mouse not in keyboard etc???

If it is and a swapped keyboard doesn't work, its your motherboard, it needs replacing
