Too much Freedom? maybe...?

My father told me about a muslim woman in Florida trying to get a license. When she was going to get her picture taken the photographer told her to take her veil off. The muslim woman told the photo guy that she wanted to keep her veil on because of her beliefs and FREEDOM...

Let me tell you why this doesn't work....

Because if we let people come to our country and doing their own weird things, they are basically eating this country inside-out.

But of course we let them pray here and let them kneel to their go and let them "live" but if you don't comply to a country's standard way of life, than you shouldn't be treated like ME or my fellow brothers and sisters who are the pure American people and went to school here.

A perfect example are Mexican people. Why should they get Spanish signs telling them everything so they don't have to learn English?
My Polish father didn't get Polish written signs to tell him where the hell things are! He studied his bum off to succeed here.

"Mexican" people in general refer to people that don't know English

How am i narrowminded?

If i were to go to Muslim land and live there and tell them i was Catholic, THEY WOULD SHOOT ME DEAD. If i took my girlfriend to Muslimland and she wore a miniskirt, THEY WOULD SHOOT US DEAD.

So what is wrong with my story?

I didn't necessarily say muslim people are satanic people. We let them pray here, they have their mosques and stuff.

anyone coming to MY COUNTRY is going to learn MY LANGUAGE and DO IT our WAY..

If i were to go to Germany, I WOULD HAVE TO LEARN THE DAMNED LANGUAGE TO work right?

Same thing.... mexicans should learn THIS COUNTRY'S language to succeed and not have all these signs to guide them...

yes i agree that other people made this country great like the irish men and the english men and others..

EVEN MEXICANS...

but people that don't know the language and life of a certain place shouldn't have special things done to them because it destroys what the US and the Rights and all that great stuff stands for...

"WHEN IN ROME, DO LIKE THE ROMAN" ........ this country have become too accommodating to foreign culture and religion. why do we have to bend over backward for them? why stop at Mexican sign ......... why don't we have other languages as well ....... Chinese, Indian, Italian, french, Russian. if these people couldn't blend in with the local population ........ shouldn't we deport them back to where they come from ....... where they can speak in whatever languages they wish to ........ and have the freedom to cover themselves from head to foot if they wish to .... Boy you have much to learn about the idea of democracy and why our founding fathers created this country. Religious persecution is one of the 2 main reasons they came here, why do you think freedom of religion is in the first amendment. Let me guess, you haven't gotten to the part in school when they talk about the American Revolution and no one has explained the Constitution to you? What's that like 5th grade now? Wait a couple more years son, and you will hear about it in school. If you really can't wait here's some help! If you can't understand some of the big words, ask your dad to explain them to you.

PS the "standard way of life" you speak of is outlined in the first ten amendment commonly called the "Bill of Rights". The whole idea behing this country is that the only standard way of life, is the life you choose to life via your own beliefs, whether religious or moral.

"Pure American people"? You mean the Native Americans? Unless you are a Native American (Cherokee, Apache, Navajo, Souix, etc.) you are not a pure American person. You are someone whose ancestors came here from another country and brought your own weird things (customs, etc.) here, and didn't do as the Pure American people did. They spoke their own language, put up new signs, and....

Or, as the Pot said: "Hey, kettle, you're black!"

P.S. I also think that people should not be allowed to have a picture ID made wearing a veil, unless it is so sheer that it does not hide their appearance. It has nothing to with "freedom". It has to do with the definition of "ID". If I can't tell who you are, it is not an ID.

I have always believed there is too much freedom in America. People are killing babies and burning flags and Muslims need to shut up and go with the flow. I also believe in the deportation of muslims anyway!
