What, you want someone to take responsibility for their own life?

You are young and green enough to be optimistic to a fault, and I would be really too cruel to try and disabuse you of a lot of the bunk the naiveté of youth inclines you to think.

But I will tell you that what is missing from your tidy rant (not really a question -- you are good at making speeches) is an understanding of the place of luck, chance or fate in human affairs. The best laid plans of mice and men oft awry go, the poet said. Your tidy view doesn't take this into account.

I hope, for you, that you are fortunate enough to never have your optimism tested. But you need to understand that not everyone is that lucky. Few adults are.

When our govt. can literarlly start a nuclear holocaust in 30 minutes and you have a President who's trust in God has torn apart the US and the world, you tend to do a lot of blaming because his/the Governments decisions directly effect your life no matter how hard you work or how much you trust God.

Well I blame government for high taxes. Ten percent would be plenty for the D.C. hog's slop trough.
Republicans used to have some credibility as fiscal conservatives like about the time Goldwater was running against Johnson.

No longer!!

I agree with you to a point.People should take more responsibility for their life choices and the resultant outcomes. But I disagree with the trust in God part. The jews tried that and it cost them 6 million lives .

hopefully when we live in a time of chaos and anarchy without any form of government to speak of then maybe perhaps but then again probably not it makes life much simpler for people to blame the government than themselves for they're hardships...especially those that dont vote! so get off your asses people and vote otherwise shut the hell up!

its alot easier to blame someone else rather than yourself, also the gov't has made alot of dumb moves and it effects all of us.. i say as long as you vote then you can complain, if you dont vote then shut the hell up because you dont have any say in anything anyway.
