I have a pile of dirt in my backyard that I need removed. It is about 130 cubic feet (5 cubic yards) in mass. I called about a dumpster, but I am looking for someone to actually remove it and haul it away. Any suggstions? I live by Midway. (approx. 60th & Narragnasett) Thanks.

No matter where you live, if it's actual, fairly clean dirt (not a pile of boulders, polluted crap, etc.), just put up a sign out front, "Free Fill!" There are always people looking for "Fill"; someone should come along in no time at all with a pickup and haul it away for you.

What is the dirt from? If it's fresh, rich soil, call a landscaper. They're always using dirt for something. Or call a local nursery (not the kind for kids, for plants). If all else fails, load up the back trunk of the car and make several trips to some lonely spot on the side of the highway...
