To be honest, it sounds like you will be apart for a long time. There is a good chance that one of you will get tired of waiting that long.
On the other hand, a friend of mine waited 4 years for her boyfriend to get out of the marines. They married when he got home and just celebrated their 25th aniversary.

Well most people will tell you it won't work out. I will tell you this:
17 years ago, I was a junior in high school and my boyfriend was a senior and going off to college 1500 miles away. We said we would write(it was before email) and see each other on holidays. We did. I went to visit when I could afford to, and he came home every summer for two months. He even flew in special to go to my prom. People said I wa crazy to stick it out, but Ican tell you this. We have been married now for four years after dating since high school.
Try it out. If it is meant to be, it will happen. I will take A LOT of work though, but it could be worth it!! Good luck!!

The odds are aganist you, but if the love is there it might work out. Also remember your in college, and relationships aren't much different from high school realationships and its long distance...but I hope things work out for you two.

that's tough. i'm in a long distance relationship, and for about 7 months in total. i believe if you really love eachother than nothing could come between you. but communication is very important and without much of it, things will fall apart. anyways sorry if this dosent help, just want to say good luck- i feel your pain.
