Absolutely not. I'm not a wife beating alcoholic womanizer ex-con who hasn't seen his kids that he beat since they were 5....

No. My family gets a little better each generation. My advances are built on the advances of previous ancestors. So it would be really ungrateful of me to say that I'm stuck doing the same things they did. Besides, I don't WANT to do the same things my ancestors did--my ancestors sucked, for the most part. So if I have the same fate, well, I'm going to fight it my whole life and destiny will have to bow to my will. Bwaaahhh-ha-ha!

I wonder. In general terms, I'm turning out a lot like my father, while my brother is turning out a lot like my father's brother. I don't believe in fate, but it's strange seeing the same sort of thing happening across generations.

One thing I know will happen to me that happened to all of my ancestors save maybe a couple: I will eventually die. The ones that didn't die yet are still relatively young.

Yes,I often put my hand in a bucket of water. And think of my ancestors when I remove my hand. I've made about the same lasting impression as they did on a bucket of water.

yes. Obviously.... we all die eventually.

Another factor is you will inherit their genes and may in fact have similar fates. If you're born with good healthy genes and a high IQ, you can thank your ancestors.

Yes, all of us do. All of us come from ONE MAN and ONE WOMAN and their fate was not to disobey GOD but they did, So here we are still here struggling and working for a living (toiling) some 800000 years later. Go figure. Have we as a species changed on the inside any? NO! Still war, greed, lust, thievery, gluteny, covertness, Idolatry, murder. Just a few to let you see. All of us are included but on man who was God in the flesh came to change all that by us accepting him as he was meant to be. His name is Jesus. Read all about him. What did he do wrong to humankind?Nothing. Come on, the truth does hurt doesn't it. We are still a big disappointment to God but he still loves us. So much he gave his only son to die for us because he was going to destroy us like in the flood but didn't because of his son. We can still change. We just don't do it our way but God's way. Its simple.
(Jhn 3:16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
