I never used to think so, but on Y! Answers, you see a lot of questions that really serve no purpose. Like, "Don't you think [male celebrity] is totally hot?!?!?!?!?"

If there is no such thing as a stupid question,then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?

yes, u just asked it. JK!!!!!! most ppl say there is no such thing as stupid questions, but there really is. when a grown person asks "Does 2 plus 2 really equal fish?" after watching a cartoon that says that, that is a stupid question

Not really. No question is stupid. I've asked questions before and people told me that the question was stupid and that I'm stupid but really the one who is stupid is the one who says the question is stupid. And also whoever says that a question is stupid is just arrogant.

Try the singles and dating section, where you can fing the angst ridden teens of america ask total starangers how to get the cute boy in the next seat in class to like them .....

Or the Pregnancy section, where angst ridden sexually active youth repetitively ask if they may be pregnant.
Or the Sports section, where boorish armchair athletes ask who is the better short stop from 1964.
There's plenty of questions that don't need to be asked, but we still ask. And we still answer.

Yes.. everyone has their own opinion on what a stupid question is.. like everyone has their own opinion on what a good question is. Sometimes it may not technically be a stupid question, but a question not thought out. Like a question that only requires common sense like what color is air.. colorless. lol

Yes, and it doesn't take long once you become a part of Yahoo Q&A. Just scroll down the Q list, any catorgory. It takes me longer to find suitible questions than it does to answer them.
