Here are some sites that show chords and other guitar playing lessons:

http://guitar.about.com/library/blguitarlessonarchive.htm
http://www.guitarnoise.com/article.php?id=78
http://www.guitarknowledgenet.com/
(this one also has a midi of the chords using quicktime so you can check your sound)

There are several sites that can help. Search ChordFinder. I'm not sure if it is chordfinder.com or org. But Bar chords are harder. With a little practice they will become easy to you! Just PRACTICE! Any local guitar store will have a chord book. That is the easiest way. It will show you all the chords and bar chords! GOOD LUCK and keep practicing!

I don't have a cite to give you but i can say from experience that bar chords are MUCH harder. A beginner might not want to jump into bar chords. Work you way up to them. Good luck

Take L!LO's advice. Just purchase a really good beginning guitar book. You will find a chart of chords and other things. It seriously won't cost that much. I hope you keep up with the guitar playing. I play guitar too- heavy metal.

bar chords, while harder at first, will make your playing easier in the long run. Wal-mart has a really cool poster that has a bunch of chords on it and it reatils for like 4 bucks

Try to learn how to read tabs..in my opinion it's easier to do than going by chords..but it is good to know the chords..*
