I don't know, but what I got out of it was that we all have to be careful not to be dumb sheep who follow a leader without ever thinking about whether or not that person speaks the truth. In other words, she basically warned about the dangers of cults and tried to remind us that both pain and pleasure are a part of life and trying to deny that fact just leads to one heck of a boring exisistence.
Excellent book. I will have to read the sequels.

To give the world a great book, both entertaining and educating. A classic. Be sure to read her other great works such as: "Gathering Blue," "Messenger," and "Number the Stars."

Because she had a story to tell. There's two sequels too, if you're interested (Messenger and Gathering Blue).

1. To give people more morals
2. To make a living

Maybe so we can appreciate the beauty of all living things, yet also remember that there is pain . But thats life? i dunno thats what i think!!
