What type of mic is used in movies when recording actor's voice? Do actors have mic hidden in their clothes?

How iis sound recorded when it is not possible to use a boom (i.e. exterior scene or something)?

A hidden wireless lavalier mic will work for this. Or in a very wide shot the audio may be recorded separately and combined with the video during post-production.

Yeah, boom mic. It's a shotgun mic attached to a long, lightweight pole (or apparatus) that holds it above the actors heads.

The sound man stands with a mic above them out of the shot where you can't see them.
