Nope, it was started in Lebanon with an explosion that killed over 300 fine Marines of this country, Then the world trade center was bombed, then two American embassies where blown up, the the USS Cole had a motor boat with two lunatics blow it up, then 3 passenger planes flew into to both towers of the world trade center. All of which resulted in large loss of life, American, and good people from other countries. No, President Bush didn't start the war, but hes damn sure gonna finish it!

Well I see the way this crowd is tipped, can show em facts and they still spew lies, too bad some Americans are that shallow.

The war started in 1991, when Iraq invaded Kuwait. The United States led a coalition that kicked them out. After only 100 hours, Bush 41 called a halt to offensive operations and as soon as a cease fire was established, began peace negotiations. Iraq agreed to a set of conditions, and was given 90 days to comply. Those conditions included WMD disclosure, etc, etc. As this was a cease fire, it was always the right of the coalition to resume offensive operations if Iraq failed to comply. Iraq did not, and for twelve years strung us along.

Finally, faced with intelligence indicating a resumption of WMD development in Iraq, intelligence that all out allies agreed with, the United States led a new coalition force in a resumption of the war that began in 1991, and defeated Saddam's government once and for all.

It may interest you to know that there was never a Peace Treaty between North and South Korea. There is only a cease fire, so technically, a state of war has existed there for over 50 years...

Yes, he started it, there is no doubt about that. When we invaded Afghanistan Bush had 100% support. And I agreed. Since then, everything has fallen apart. He lets Osama walk away at Tora Bora. Why? I wish I knew. The invasion of Iraq has been equivalent to a chinese fire drill, thanks to Rumsfeld idiocy.

If the democrats retake Congress, the qualifications for becoming a President needs to be amended. No future candidate should be allowed to run unless they have served in the military. The republicans are to cowardly to do this on there own.

The Iraq war is not WW3 The war was started by Bush because he wrongly thought they had WMD. Congress did approve do the war but provided it be preceded by negotiations. The negotiations were not carried out in a serious way.and the invasion began.

I'm afraid I have to say yes on this one because Bush has already started WWII by illegally invading Iraq. And now he's threatened to expand the war by doing the same to neighboring Iran and North Korea over the nuclear issue! It seems we have a warmongering president in our midst! His warmongering actions will send the world into HELL right now, before our very own eyes!!!!!!!!

The Iraq war is not WW3, but Bush did start it.

WW3 is the war against Islamic extremism, and we are only in the beginning of it.

Yes, This war is America's first preemptive war. In a situation when diplomacy was never exhausted, George W. decided we needed some 911 payback, though now it is common knowledge that there are no ties between Saddam and Al Keida.

Remember, in the first US-Iraq war, George H.W. Bush united the world in a true coalition then he exhausted all diplomatic resources. George H.W. then bombed the hell out of Iraq and then attacked with over 500,000 troops.
George W. was in too much of a hurry and only attacked with some 140,000 troops. His generals are still angry about that.

Actually, it's all of BushCo! Condalizard, Cheney and Rove are the masterminds behind the documents that led to the invasion of Iraq. They all had a part of it. Sure Saddam refused to let the UN inspectors in, but he was bluffing. Besides, if we went to war with everyone who has disobeyed a UN sanction, we probably would have been in WW3 a long time ago!

CajunBill...Yeah they were all about 15-20 years old and unusable!

Yes, President Bush takes responsibility for starting war in Iraq. And since they have captured the leader of that country, it has been won. Now, we are helping them rebuild and establish some kind of democratic rule.

Bush made that decision because the radical element in the mideast had been terrorizing American troops for 20 years or more... and finally had the guts to actually attack America on our own soil, by sending idiots to die in plane crashes by destroying buildings and people in this country.

It was high time to start keeping them busy fighting us, instead of sitting around letting them attack us.

No he did not. We are part of the United Nations and we are on the Security Council of that organization. They passed over 15 separate resolutions condemning Saddam and his actions. We went to war with them because of these violations and we went with over 40 other nations that had the guts to do it.

Beth- get your facts straight first. We have found over 500 canisters of mustard and serrin gas which are considered WMD's and they are a violation of UN mandates. Read the article attached concerning Al-Qaeda ties.
