Before it dries, you can pour hydrogen peroxide on the stain and let it set a bit and get the blood out before washing. Or you can use a stain remover and wash. Usually, I let mine soak in the washer for a few hours before washing and that's good enough. Whatever you do, always use cold water because hot water tends to set the stain in as will throwing then in the dryer while the stain is in there.

Use a liquid detergent with enzymes. I like Era best. I keep it in a squeeze bottle and treat stains with it. Apply undiluted detergent directly to the stain, and leave it there awhile. I treat most stains with Era and then wash the clothing (in COLD water!) whenever I get around to it. Be careful, though - the stain can transfer to other fabric it comes in contact with. To prevent this, I usually wrap the clothing around itself so that the part with detergent on it doesn't touch my other clothes. You may have to repeat the stain treatment. It will eventually come out, if you don't put it in the dryer, which would set the stain.

Hey, every women has had this happen. They either got the stain out best they could and made those permanant period panties or threw them away.
Soak them in peroxide. I worked at a vet clinic when I was younger and we used peroxide to get blood out of our scrubs. Good Luck.

Cold water, never hot, that just sets the stain. If you wear cotton whities, put all of your panties in a bucket of bleach and water and they come out like new. No little stains up front.

COLD water. Let it soak in the sink with some detergeant overnight. Use a toothbrush. If there's still a stain, it's probably already set.

Let them soak in the tub with a mixture of oxy clean and water overnight. Then just wash them as you normally would. It takes out blood stains.

ONE of the times i had it happen was when I was in the 8th grade and I left school early that day and my parents took me out to dinner to cheer me up, when we got home the boy I had a crush on had left a message on our anwering machine saying, "Hey Period Lady" and then hanging up.
