Disagreements and big egos cause wars. The major disadvantage is that innocent civilians have to put up with war and major societal changes as a result of battling politicians/religious leaders.

GREED in POWER TO CONTROL PEOPLES FOR THEIR RESOURCES.
HOW does it affect them?
DEATH, LOSE, DIEASE, EMOTIONAL UNHEALTHYNESS, Captivity of the Mind, the Spirit and the body.
No one Truly
WINS!
But Some times Evil must be put down in order for life to continue. After the War is over Life suffers for awhile but always rebuilds.

Our stupid mind that is divisive, worships exclusiveness in other word, our free will (selfishness).
If we are selfish then we are the contributor of war one way or another.
