Of course you should be mad and I would be mad for you too. But use the experience as a part of living in this world as what you are saying has been happening for years. I use the sports fields as the best example to show you how unfair things really are. It's called a sport for all people to enjoy yet they only let the best physical persons play. There are those who give their all just to play any sport they love but are turned away because they don't have the special single things needed to win. Then the best of the best continue to exceed because they have a specific specialty to run, catch or what ever into a super field for entertainment and the big pay that goes with it. What is sporty about that while the little person lets their head drop in pain because they aren't good enough. Like you with your singing, I fell into it with sports because of a health problem. We we'ren't good enough for those who look for what they consider the best, but between you and I.... we're the best and can bypass and succeed in anything we choose to do other then what they wouldn't let us have while those they choose will sooner or later fall on their face because they were only good for one thing and fell on their faces because they only were good at one thing wehere as you and I are better in several others and will not fall on our face for accomplishments better then theirs. So hold your head up high and succeed higher then what they wanted of you. You and I are better then they are any day of the week.

Not all super stars were Big in high school. If your good just keep up the hard work. Be a good sport about it cause, you may never know who is watching. Your turn may be next. It is OK to be up set but, do not let is bring you down. Look at Toby Keith

If you have to ask if you should be mad then just let it go. If you can sing then just keep singing and find a manager and producer, a talent show means nothing.

Well I don't mean to be harsh but a lot of people think they can sing well and their closest friends and family agree just b/c they love them, but majority of the time they aren't as good as they thought. OR you are good and your school has some stiff competition that happened to be better! But if you keep practicing and keep trying you will one day when it really counts come out as the best!

Just look at how many good people apply for American Idol, and don't win or get on the show. Don't be mad, perhaps someone will drop out and you will get your shot.

If not, then as long as you know your good, who cares what others think.

im sorry hun! that sucks...you know what say...DONT be mad, get EVEN! show up at that talent show anyway...try to talk to the coordinator, see if ANYONE dropped out! THE night of the show, if you still havent gotten in >:) *this is where it gets juicy* go to that show, opening night...before anyone gets there.....wait til theres a crowd and then....START singin your heart out, infront of everyone...without any introduction or anything...make yourself heard girl! go for it...who needs a "talent show" when youve got just your lungs and an unexpecting crowd ;)

No, take it as a character building thing. Keep practicing and the next time, you will have practiced and perfected your technique. Don't give up, but don't make sour grapes of it either.
