Depnds on if you are self-motivated or not. Definitely can NOT be a procrastinator and do well. I have taken many classes online as it is the only option for the field I work in and where I live (northern NY and technology) It works for me but not for others.
Getting your degree online....definitely a step in the right directions especially if you can't get to the place (like Pheonix) to take the courses you want.
Good luck!

My brother is with an online university. However what I think is online university may soon become far future interaction. I just don't like doing hugh school homework online and stuff like that because books and pencils might be no more. I like interacting with other students and teachers for any question or concern. In online, you don't get to ask the teacher about the question. Teacher won't even care at all.

It is said that we all are doomed to become technological than natural humans. Well, the world is trying to save the trees from being used as stacks of papers. Blackberries are started to become new "planners."

However it is up to you. You can experience one online class or more to see if you are comfortable with it.

Online education is good because you can go to class when it's convenient for you. I've been attending online classes for a little over a year now and it's great! You still have discussions, homework, lectures, slideshows and teamwork you just get to do it in the comfort of your home at your convenience. I was told by my advisor that your degree is the same as if you physically went to that school. No where on your diploma does it state you took online classes.

From a completely honest opinion, I would have to say that an in-classroom education beats a strictly "online-only" based program. I recently obtained my MBA, and I did have one online class while in the program. I think it is fine to have a few online courses as long as most of your courses are based in the classroom. I don't believe that anything can beat the type of education you receive and the amount of information you absorb as when you are actually in a classroom.

Being someone who has taken online courses in my graduate program, I highly recommend it but make sure you have access to the internet when you are supposed to chat with your instructors and classmates..I am considering taking more online courses for my doctorate degree..
