What did your insurance pay? I'm trying to figure out if I will have to pay for the whole procedure or if there is just a copay that I have to pay. I haven't met my deductible this year & my deductible is $1000!

i've done that one before. it was about 4 years ago. well, the doctors found that i had a first stage cancer sign from the pap smear done. the procedure was a quick one, and in Singapore, it didn't cost a lot, like about a couple of hundred Singapore dollars. on top of that, i did get some government grant, so i did not pay the full price. after two weeks of the procedure, i was told to go back for a check and everything was well. got another pap smear done and the result was perfect. from that day on, i did not forget my pap smear appointment anymore!

the procedure doesn't cost that much. you are better off paying for it out of pocket without insurance. unless the doctor will be willing to accept payments for the deductable, some do do that

If you are talking about colonoscopy, yes, I have had that done. Cost me $300 with insurance. The insurance company paid over $700.
