Every car is different. if you had used premium fuel most of the engines life, then you will probably not need the cleaning so often. The premium has more detergents in it. Your driving habits have a lot to do with varnish. Stop and go driving will give you more varnish build up as where all highway driving will tend to "blow out" most of the varnish and carbon that accumalates in the fuel system. If you notice a drop in gas mileage, a stumble on accelleration, or even stalling at a stop. Then these are all signs that the injectors are in need of a good cleaning.Anything below 50k i wouldnt worry too much about.
hope this helps......good luck..........

I've went over 100,000 and never had my fuel injectors cleaned. Most gasoline contains an additive that helps keep the injectors clean but there is the odd occasion that a red gum can form on the nozzle resulting in an abnormal spray with a corresponding loss of power. If after reading this, you're still thinking you may need a little maintenance on the injectors, go to Walmart or a parts store and but a can of fuel injector cleaner, follow the instructions and use with a tank of gas. The stuff does work. I'm used it in small engines that had gunk in the carburetor. It dissolves the red gunk.
