Halloween is coming in 2 weeks and a couple girls kind of tricked me into letting them pick the costume. Included in the costume are some heels that I tried on today and nearly fell over. The costume is Jessica Simpson and they said the heels are a must. They had me take them home and practice walking in them, but I feel way too foolish. Is there a trick to walking in heels?

alright, some things to keep in mind when walking in heels

1. lean slightly backward, because heels pitch you forward, so you need to get balance
2. instead of walking heel to toe, try to place down the whole foot at the same time
3. take smaller steps
4. practice

anyways, good luck!

I love heels and wear them all the time. There is no trick to it. You just have to practice wearing them around the house everyday. That way you won't feel so akward in them on Halloween.

I would suggest a lot of practice. The more you walk in heels, the easier it becomes. Also, start with a lower heel and gradually increase the heel height.

The biggest "heel" I've waked in would be a cowboy boot. I'd guess that to be about 1/2 to 3/4"

same way as you learned to walk when you were little. Maybe you could see if you could have some flatter heels, those are easier. Simply try to take a step at a time

Well, are you wearing any leotard or knee high socks?? Becuase one tip is that you spray some hair spray in the shoes and then get in it before it dries, then your foot won't slip around. And then, you just have to practice. Becuase practice makes perfect.
