i am a 18 yrs old and i need a costume that is cute and fun but not too revealing, i am going to be around little kids so i cant wear short skirts w/out leggings underneath so i was thinking maybe a pirate costume? but where can i find one that is less than $30 without ordering on the internet? if u think a different costume idea is better please post it but remember: i will be around young children so keep it pg

Do you have leggings? Do you or someone you know have a "puffy shirt" or peasant type shirt? Do you have a couple of scarves (one for waist one for head)? Do you have boots? Do you have crazy jewelry?
All you need is the hat! A patch would be a bad idea around kids, it messes with your peripheral vision!

Check out Wal-Mart or Target for accessories.
If you're going to be a pirate, you probably have stuff at home you can use. Wear a long flowing skirt or cropped trousers with tall boots. If you have a peasant blouse or other type of puffy shirt that will work. Get a sash of fabric to tie around your waste (to hold your sword) and wear a bandanna. If you have hoop earrings, wear those. Wide bangles would also be fun with a wild necklace. You will probably want an eye patch and maybe a hook. If you have a toy parrot, strap it to your shoulder!

Be a powerpuff girl, that's what I'm going as with my friends, all you need is a a blue/pink/green dress or a skirt and a matching top, a black belt or ribbon and pigtails(if you're bubbles), a huge red ribbon )if you're blossom), and black hair if you're the green one. don't forget the stockings or socks.
