The PSP has higher resolution graphics and can play music and movies out of the box. There aren't a whole lot of original games for it, but they do look pretty and sound good. It costs more than DS though.
The NDS has more innovative games that are extremely fun to pick up and play. For pure gaming thrills it is better than the PSP. It has a touchscreen, microphone, and WiFi and the games that are out for it now makes up for the lower resolution graphics in overall fun factor.
If I were to pick just one purely for games, I would get the DS Lite. Also consider there is a web browser coming out for it soon so the DS will soon be on par with the PSP as far as online capability is concerned.

PSP is better it has better games better graphic and sound. You can view Photos Videos download games browse the internet or play with friends online. You can also watch tv with Locationfree Player. You can use game sharing so if ur firend wants to play ur game at the same time u r he can share it thats cool. PSP has update so u can get new things all the time. DS has horrible graphic and sound. Bad crappy kiddy games. No internet browser no music or video. You can`t watch movies or share game. DS is no match to the PSP. Sony will make Nintendo suffer in the upcoming years DS Lite is a pathetic handheld video game system. You see i got the facts that`s what makes the PSP perfect compare to the crappy DS Lite.

The DS is by far the better of the two. The graphics are not as good as the PSPs but the games are more fun to play.

THE PSP is so much better than the ds it has better graphics you go on the Internet watch movies watch tv play games listen to your music

I think Nintendo DS is because the touch screen rocks, plus the mic that will be used in games to come!

DS you can get internet on the ds two there is a way to get somthing to put in the gba portand get online plus more games and touch screen

Definately the PSP. It can do way more. Connect to the net (if you have wireless internet), hold and play music, show you t.v. (If you have some kind of expensive t.v. thingy), and of course, play games! Can the DS do all that?? NO!!!!!!! Go witht he PSP!!!!!

i say a psp cuz u can do waaaaaay more things like, surf the web, watch movies, play games, listen to music, download pics and all kinds of things! i have a psp and its been keeping me busy for months!!!!
