Don't get me wrong, I ADORE my wife to no end. But why do women seem to have this insatiable need to talk between the first kickoff to the last wistle on Sunday? There are six other days during the week, last I checked.

Not me....I'm in front of the TV all day Sunday and Monday night and usually telling my husband to be quiet during the game. I'm actually the one who got him watching football.

Well I talk during football but it is talking about the game. I grew up in a football fanatic family so I totally love the game. I don't really care for any other sport but football well its just so fascinating.
Maybe other woman just don't understand the game. Because once you understand the game it so fun to watch. But then again I've been watching since I was like 6 or 7......

I am a wife of a football fanatic. I dont know why but if you want this to stop do what my husband did to me. During my favorite tv show( Grey's anatomy) he would not stop talking or making any kind of noise and guess what happen on the following sunday? No talk for the entire football game :)

I completely disagree with you. someone made a press release that football is transforming into extra huge-spread, and not in any respect only a "mans" sport, and that is so very authentic. i visit communicate football lingo with the finest of the adult males who comprehend all their data, reason I somewhat have the data too. i might want to completely like to have a job like that. at the same time as i'm staring at football, i wager you would possibly want to call me "between the adult males." i'm a girly woman yet I nevertheless love my football. i visit sit down down round and shop up drinks with the boys no subject. So, i imagine its advantageous that there are females broadcasters.

probably because it is so boreing! your wife must not be a football fan so therefore it does not interest her and the game is so slow anyways there is always plenty of time to talk between plays, besides there is always the constant 3-4 time instant replay. maybe you should try and find a sport you can both have an interest in, or be honest and tell her or send her shopping or out to lunch with some of her friends. if it bugs you this much speak up about it.

Hahaha. This question made me laugh. You are so spot on my friend.

I have no idea, but I do notice that this "problem" manifests itself during any sporting event and/or video game that I might be in the middle of.

The only strategy I can imagine working is the impossible task of getting the wife into the sport as much as you are so that she won't want any interruption either.

Good luck.

I am a woman and I don't talk during football games. If your wife does, take time to explain the game to her. Help her pick a favorite team and take her to some games. Tell her you love her more than football.

because they know it gives men pleasure to watch football and whatEVER they can do diminish that pleasure they will. i happen to be a lucky man who has a woman who talks during football but only because she's commenting on the GAME, but i've had other women (if you want to call them that) who wouldn't get the picture. So i'd go down to the bar and watch the game. I've told every woman i've dated football was here BEFORE you and will be here AFTER you, so deal with it. finally i was tired of telling them this so i found myself a woman who WATCHES, UNDERSTANDS, and ENJOYS football. And although she's a Giants fan (or so she claims) no one is perfect! E-A-G-L-E-S! EAGLES!!!!

LOL!! My boyfriend probably wonders the same thing. Basically becasue women are so used to being the center of their honey's attention that they can't stand to loose the spotlight for even a few hours. Maybe get her into football too. Explain the game to her, so she can cheer along. That way she won't bother you. Good luck! : )

If she is not interested in football, then the game has little interest for her. So if she stays near the TV, her most obvious source of interest is you and she may want to have a conversation.

Of course the other possibility is that women cannot stand to see their man happy, and must do anything to prevent such an occurrence.
