Castro is a Rorschach test. The way you view his revolution will depend on your own ideology. However, the sort of standard narrative is that the revolution was a just one against an American puppet government; Castro's mission was to force out American imperialism and institute a progressive, left-wing government that would empower the people of Cuba. At some point, he lost his way, becoming increasingly dictatorial and autocratic. His comrades from the revolution (notably Ché) had either died, left, or been disposed of, and the dream of a "worker's paradise" faded into Stalinism and repression.

Different people take different parts of that story more seriously. Neo-conservatives, for example, tend to emphasize Castro's autocratic style of government and neglect the fundamental brilliance, charisma and populism that led him to victory in the first place. They also frequently forget exactly how corrupt and elitist the government that Castro deposed was.

The embassy of Peru incident triggered the Mariel boat lift where about 120000 people came to America, and some more to other countries included Peru. In Cuba most of the Embassies are guarded by Cuban soldiers to keep the Cubans from getting in and asking for political asylum, some guys in a government bus crashed the gates of the Peruvian embassy and asked for asylum, few days later the guards were ordered off the gates and the population went in and filled up the embassy, few weeks later Fidel allowed to leave anybody who could be picked up here is no re-volution is more a de-volution, for this country time stopped on 1958, he just took the Communist path
