What a joke. People still think he was elected by the people. Either they want to believe bu lls hit or they are too stupid and don't know how to read.

Not allowing use of the electoral college when answering a question about the election of the American President makes it hard for you to get a real answer.
I've never voted for either Bush in any election, but the fact that you or I didn't like the outcome doesn't delegitimize the process. You should be thankful, as I was, that the 2000 business wasn't solved by tanks rolling thru the streets and soldiers standing on the corner to enforce the results. In case you haven't noticed, that's how in goes in many elections that close in some other parts of the world.

You might not want to hear it, but voting for the president is not represented by the idea of one person - one vote. The president is determined by the number of states, i.e. the electoral voting system...like it or lump it.
I didn't vote for George W., but it is the same system that got Clinton elected over George H. W. and Ross Perot.
The scandalous role Florida Supreme court played in G.W first win over Al Gore notwithstanding and also despite the ever present voting machine malfunctions and tampering , our system is one we just have to live with.

Which election are you referring to?
In the first election (Bush vs. Gore) was won by President Bush based upon electoral votes (perhaps you might review American political Science 101).
The Second election (Bush vs. Kerry) was won by President Bush through both the electoral college and the popular vote.
To believe or suggest anything else is simple adherence to partisan or conspiratorial fantasy.

Well, I think you're wrong. People did want Bush as President.
They liked him so well, that they even re-elected him for a
second term. Then, the dang terrorists did us in, and this president who is a determined man, did not just shrug his shoulders and say, gee that was mean of them, and then do nothing. He sent our military to the mideast to fight anyone who
even harbors terrorists. Democrats and Republicans alike
signed on for this to happen. But, when things didn't end over
there in 6 months and death occurred to more and more
servicemen and women, then Media, Liberals, and Democrats
all backed off and said we should never have gone over there
and got involved (too late, we're there and this president is not
going to wave the white flag). History will tell if Bush was a good
president or not, but no president gets popular by involving our
country in any war. This is not the first war the US has ever
been involved in - maybe you're too young to remember and
didn't learn about them in your history classes.

Bush was elected in 2000 by the electoral college, because that is how our Presidential election works according to the Constitution.
The PEOPLE pretty much split the vote, meaning in 2000, almost as many voted for Bush as for Gore. In 2004, Bush won the popular vote, meaning more people voted for Bush than for Gore.
In 2004, people knew what we were getting with Bush. We knew what he'd done and what he was going to do. He's done exactly that. Still more people pressed the Bush button on the Diebold voting machine than for Kerry ;-) The PEOPLE got exactly what they voted for.
Your argument is silly and naive.
PS...You're flagging all the Bush supporters? Talk about intolerant! Yes, you. You don't understand the concept free speech and you have just demonstrated your liberal intolerance. Remember free speech? "I disagree with what you say, but I will defend your right to say it." Obviously you don't.

Until his supporters accept this fact they will ever be asking "why does people bash Bush"? No one in the U.S. wants a selected leader from a free election, wouldn't matter who or what party was selected he would be highly criticized and rightly so.

better check your facts again, because the military absentee votes were counted [which the democrats tried to have those votes discredited because they were a day or two late coming in due to bad weather, and if ANYONE deserves the right to vote its our armed forces that live and die and fight for that freedom]Bush won Florida. So quit whining he won it fair and square and I do remember Al Bore giving the congradualtory phone call to President Bush until the democrats tried the hanging chads and more hanging chads and counts and recounts and more recounts wasting tax payers dollars. That why I am now a republican after that show of childish bulls*h*i*t.And yes I am ashamed to say I voted for Gore.
