CBS News reported a Massechusetts school will no longer allow kids to play tag or dodgeball and that this "is a growing trend." What? What is the country coming to? Is this an issue of tort reform?

I can understand the school being concerned about being blamed when the kids get hurt, but for that case they better take away monkey bars and any other playground equiptment. And the kids will still play tag, they will just do it when they think they are not being watched. If the school was smart they would tell them they can play it, because as we all know, the one thing you tell a kid not to do is going to be the one thing that they do.

It probably is an issue of tort reform, but even more it is a result of our society wanting to have someone to blame for any and everything that goes wrong. Which came first, too many lawsuits over results of every possible human activity, or too many big rewards from those lawsuits?

Huh? No wonder more and more kids are becoming obese. My nephew just started kindergarten and a flyer was sent home stating that whenever parents send treats for the class, they have to be pre-packaged and individually wrapped. This isn't for safety measures, but in an effort to promote healthy eating. Either somebody made a huge error in typing that flyer, or they are incredibly confused.

Awww. I loved playing tag when i was in school :(( This is sad. Getting hurt is a part of life. If they really wana ban soemthign they should make the floor softer instead of letting kids play on the concrete.

LOL. Yeah, I saw that scrolling across the bottom of Fox News (I wasn't really watching it... I hate Fox News... but my dad always watches it). I was like "huh?" I mean thats ridiculous! I could kind of understand dodgeball (cuz that game hurts!), but tag! OMG.
