A snow leopard in its Central Asian habitat has no natural predators. However its prey can fight back and a snow leopards main defense from counterattack is its lightning reflexes to dodge an attack.

Teeth and claws and camouflage,
I had a neat experience with a snow leopard names Katie at the Cheyenne mountain zoo in Colorado Springs
We were zoo members and would be able to get in early.
Well, it was a cool morning when my then three year old daughter and I were walking passed the cat houses, and Katie jumped at us and growled! I screamed and jumped.
Turns out it was feeding time and she heard my keys. She though I was her zoo keeper and liked to jump and scare her!!!
Just like a cat!

It learns lost and extremely potent styles of kung fu from wizened old hermits living in the mountains, making it both stronger, more badass and vastly wiser... Using these methods it can give sagely but confusing advice to other animals that come to it for help... thereby gaining valuable allies in the eternal battle against the elephant lords of the equatorial jungles... who it won't meet until the day of reckoning.
Oh... and sometimes they carry spud-guns... loaded with the pithy extract of plants they come across in their travels.

They can use their fur color to blend in with their environment.
Not to mention they are a big cat with sharp teeth and claws.
