Having so many distinguished intellectuals, why did USA people elect a mentally challenged president twice?

No offence intended, I just cannot understand how come that happened twice...

[to "Nancy W"]: Your point does not make sense. Normal people, obviously, do not have to have the skills of a president, but the president really does.

I think also that you are quite naive in thinking that Bush is doing everthing by himself. He is simply the last link of a chain, although admittedly the most visible one. Just like a newsperson does not find and write the news that s/he communicates on TV, I doubt Bush is carrying much of the burden of the governing process.

It is good to get an education, but it is even better to learn to think critically. I think you should try to do both.

How naive you liberals are. Did you watch or listen to Bush's latest interview with Bill O'Reilly? Bush is a smart and savy man. Yes, he's a poor orator. But the man has thought through his policies.

Let me ask you this. Have you thought about the consequences of pulling our troops out of Iraq too early? I have. It would be sheer folly. It would quite likely be like when the Soviets left Afghanistan, resulting eventually in Taliban like regime that oppresses it's people and is a haven for terrorism. In 5 - 15 years, we'll just have new fresh attacks on the West and the USA from a terrorist sponsoring Iraq.

Do you realize that when we pulled out of Vietnam, millions of people died as a result. What's to stop the same from happening in Iraq.

Bush understands these things. He's thought them through.
