Candle light for quiet meals, baths, and other times when it's nice to have just a hint of mystery.
Lamp light for reading, talking, or quiet contemplation.
Moonlight for walks, sitting on the deck...at home or on a boat in the middle of a lake or ocean...or just when you want to lie in bed and hold that special someone...everything is possible when you gaze together at the moonlight.

When in a quiet mood, a low lamplight. At least for inside.
A candle is hardly good for reading, except maybe listening to music and taking a nice hot bath and soaking.
Outside, definitely moonlight, especially along the ocean.

Moonlight without a doubt. The open skies and the beauty of the stars, and the vastness of the universe lend themselves much more to my quiet contemplative moods. I don't take that time often enough actually...

Lamplight with the dimmer set low. The shadows that form seem to hide mysterious secrets that only you can unlock with the imagination of your mind. And all of the abstractions and kaleidoscope of light and shadows allows me to ponder on the deeper things of life.

I prefer a strobe light. It brings back memories of disco fever and the 70's.
