You bet you did. You have nothing to feel guilty about. If she were much of a friend she would not have put you in the middle of her marital problems and cheating. She should be coming to you on her hands and knees begging forgiveness. Sorry you had to go through all of it.

Hell yes you did.
Regardless of wether or not you think the actual affiar is wrong or not, she brought you into a serious matter with out your consent. You did the right thing, and I hope her husband throws her out on her ***. Second chances between husband and wife are for ignorant people with low self-esteem.
But then again you know her better than anyone who is going to answer this question. It is up to you wether you disgard her as a friend or make her appualigze and comfort her. Betweem guys this is a entirely different matter, but with woman it is as if she betrayed you too, probabley best to let her go, let her maybe finally grow up and learn not to use people as her pawns. Then again people almost never change.
The first time she got caught she probabley jsut blurted out the idea of you being the cover, and once hse had it became an easier way to deal with her lies.
Of course there are a huge amount of variables in this problem, such as; did her husband abuse/neglect/cheat on her. She should have told you to see if you were comforable doing it, and most likely her husband was your freind too, not your BFF, but a freind none the less making you feel as if you betrayed a friend for a freind which is never a pretty situation.

Yes you did the right thing! I can't believe she used you like that and didn't even tell you. I bet you were caught off guard when her husband called. He has a right to know the truth too!
Good going!!
