2. 14KT WG Diamond Engagement Ring Set: Family Heirloom, of my Gramma.

3. 18KT WG Diamond Earrings: Engagement Present, from my Husband.

4. 14KT WG Locket: The very first piece of jewelry my Husband ever gave me.

5. 14KT WG Diamond Hamilton Watch: Something Borrowed, from my Momma.

6. 18KT WG Diamond Bracelet: Something Old, from my Gramma.

7. 14KT WG Diamond Ankle Bracelet: Something New, Wedding Present from my Husband.

8. 14KT WG Blue Topaz & Diamond Toe Ring: Something Blue.

None. I don't care much for jewelry anymore. When I do wear some to work, it is usually just earrings. I like earrings. Sometimes a ring.

Just the two.

Right "ring" finger, a silver Claddagh crown ring: The design combining the hands of friendship, the heart that loves, and the crown of fidelity. The heart in this ring is a black stone.

When my girl became my fiance, she chose a golden ring with a green stone.

So on the ring finger of my left hand, I wear my wedding ring - a second Claddagh crown, made of gold, and with the heart filled with the same green stone, a symbol of the union of her ring and mine, her determination and my own to make our hearts and lives beat as one. We needed that determination to overcome the obstacles of geography and different lives, but we moved together as one and are now living the reward for our focus and our passion. So I wear that determination on my finger. The ring has our surname initials engraved on the outside - "D-F" - and mine has the word "Forever" inscribed inside and pressed like a whisper to my skin.

Given my love of "symbology' if you'll excuse the word, it's faintly depressing to learn, while answering this question, that there is more to the mythology of how you wear a Claddagh ring than I had ever known.

I knew that if you wear it with the heart pointing out towards your fingertip, it means your heart is unclaimed, while if you wear it with the heart pointing toward our hand, your heart truly belongs to another.

What I DIDN'T know is that according to the legends, if you wear it on your right hand with heart pointing inwards (as I've done since my wedding ring took its place on my left hand), it means you're "considering" love. So while my left hand has been utterly certain, my right has been "considering"! I've now switched both rings to the left-hand ring finger, with the silver heart on top and turned around, so it acts like a mirror of the gold, to keep the ring more safe than ever on my finger.

Ahem...
Other than that, I'm the undecorated Falco!
