Do you know before they come? How do you brace yourself before they hit? How do you handle the stress during those times? Do you feel euphoric once they pass? Or do you feel lost like you can't remember how to NOT be busy?

Just curious. I just finished up "hell week" at work and I'm coming down off of a "busy" high and can't quite figure out what to do with myself.

They come in one huge tidal wave- and I'm drowning right in the middle of one! What's most baffling is that I know it's coming- years in advance even- but I can never fully prepare myself for any them. There's no "brace", no buffer, and no warning as to the precise moment when they hit. The stress is so overwhelming and I'm not sure how I handle it or even IF I handle it.

But it's funny- so much time has gone by since I've seen the dry land, I can't remember much what the slow times are like or even what it's like not to be busy but I don't remember those were any less stressful- just a different kind of stress.

Can't quite figure out what to do with yourself, huh? I can think of a few things for you... I can't remember what that's like myself. I guess I would get some long overdue sleep.

properly a crafty thank you to handle it quite is next time you spot her permit her comprehend which you're engaged on inventive projects which you already know could no longer be available after the toddler arrives and additionally you're flat out attempting to end them and heavily isn't waiting to socialize together with her as many times and then invite her to lunch or morning tea or regardless of approximately 2 weeks or consistent with hazard a million week down the song and this way she would have the ability to no longer come bothering you in the previous the appointed time. This worked for me in a matching subject. yet meanwhile she is obviously lonely and desires to absorb some pastimes or something. are you able to steer her in the path of taking on something like artwork, game regardless of like actually have a rapid look your self for activities in the section. i desire she has her own delivery. She needless to say desires to get new pastimes for herself. See in case you invite her over at a date a million or 2 weeks down the song then she could desire to comprehend that and if she would not and pops in the day once you have invited her then say Oh Mary (regardless of) i replaced into no longer awaiting a pass to right this moment - it is next...each time...i desire that's very properly with you as i'm very busy till then and that i'm looking forward to catching up. you will possibly be a reliable buddy for her on a similar time as easing up somewhat and help her e book in to something that could desire to pastime her.

I used to enjoy being real busy at work but not anymore. The harder it got the more I thrived. But it seems things are reversed now and I like to work at a more even pace.
Stress gets to me know and I have to make a conscious effort not to let it get to me but pace myself more.
Our work is very seasonal so we do have quieter times. but since they installed the new SAP system at work, it has been a nightmare day in and day out.

Yes I work at an antique mall and there are times when you can't do anything but check people out. Other times I'm sitting there playing Spider Solitaire on my computer.

Sometimes, especially just before publication date. That is normal though.

The real stress is when it comes in a TSUNAMI that may last months. Like now.
