The only side effects of successful male masturbation are ejaculation, with the occasional possibility of chafing. It does sound like you have redefined "shooting your brains out" though!

you forgot what? to masturbate daily? now that would be awful but masturbation would not forget to make you masturbate or forget anything else. Nor does it have any other nasty effects (if you ignore that little mess - hehe). In fact recent studies show masturbation is actually healthy and can really reduce the risk of prostate cancer in men. So, enjoy and don't worry about it.
