I was just recently a carpentry student at E.C.T.C. and everything was goin fine until my instructor had to leave for throat surgery. and after that, things just just stared going down hill. They got this substitute in there that really isn’t a teacher and he isn't qualified to be teaching carpentry or teaching at all. He doesn’t even have one year of teaching or carpentry under his belt. His real job is working at Kroger’s. I started to fall way behind, so I just decided it would be best to withdrawal from the classes instead of getting a F or an I for Incomplete so I wouldn’t be put on academic probation but they told me that I couldn’t get any kind of refund. Do you think I should try to work something out, or just get a lawyer? I’m not a sue happy person at all and I’d like to keep this out of court but I feel like I was cheated and this seems to me like a case of theft by deception. Can anyone give me some legal advise?
