The womens movement has been taken to extremes just as the dreams on Martin Luther King. Equal rights for all is the main course for all, the civil rights movement is not what it was planned to be just as the womens movement isnt like it started out to be. To me, the civil rights deal was a good idea, at the time, but the whole idea of what it is suppose to be has been perverted by extremist. As is the womens rights ammendment. Women who have taken this to the extreme, have ruined a great idea with the extremist out there. I have no problem with women getting whats their fair share of living, as long as they work for it like the men, and not giving everything to them, just because they are women. The country has everyone thinking that ALL WOMEN are victims, and thats the idea for us today. Women have so much offered to them and got all the liberation they can stand, but now dont know how to use it to the full advantage, its used to worsen the situation than to make it better. This is the reason for all the division between the sexes, and it took the liberals in government, with the pushing of organized "terrorist" groups like the ACLU, to ruin what was a great idea. Women today have no reason to complain about anything today, they are more or less given what they want and how they want it to suit their liberal and misguided ideas, to make their lives better than what they deserve. This is what has brought on the, as they say, "pussification" of the american male. We cant even be men anymore without having some extemist women "libbers" rasing hell about how we act. Everything from harassment to sex discrimation, is taken to extremes anymore. Just say the wrong thing to a woman, or give her the "elevator eyes", as they say, is too much. Too many ways to ruin a man with all the frivoulous accusations there are against us, when they cant get their way about how they want their lives. So as far as Im concerned, I dont date, dont talk to women, dont deal with them, im not going to take the chance on getting tied up in the "drama" that these gals want to start, thats the only way i know of to stay outta trouble. In my opinion, what with all this going on, these women have gotten lazy, irresponsible, and just in some cases, rotten. So I have to cover my ***, stay as far away from them as i can, that keeps me outta trouble. But good luck to all those who try to change men and the laws to make their lives better than ours, as long as i stay to myself, im good to go. Good question, and good luck.

Maybe they take it too far from a personal experience they have had (everyone is different, you said it yourself).
Personally, I dont know anyone who has taken it that far (that I can recall). I think that women, along with any other discriminated against groups, should push the envelope to equal rights and treatment. I dont think that everythign is equal and that discrimination still exists. Pay is definately still different for males and females in this country. But I do think there are right ways of approaching the issue and wrong ways - ways that can be more detrimental than helpful.
I think that if a woman doesnt have a job at home, and her husband works, it isnt her "job" or "role" to clean the house, fix dinner, etc., but I think it is more a contribution to the relationship. The male provides money to pay for housing, bills, food, etc and the woman keeps things orderly and helps the husband so that he can continue to bring home the money to pay for things. Im not sayign the men is greater or better than the woman, its just do what you have to do to make it work, and if that is what works, then why change it?
Same goes for women working and men staying at home. The woman is makign the money and contributing it to the overall benifit of the relationship, I think the man should take care of the house and other things while she is off doing otherthings. A relationship needs both people contributing to function.
If they both have careers and the woman is doing all the work, maybe she should ifnd a guy who will give two shits about her and help out.
And to the person who said equality doesnt exits in the workplace - research/data will back you up all the way on that one.

I have never once met this kind of woman, so I have no idea what you're talking about. Most women have to do the vast majority of the housework and the childrearing, whether or not they have a career. I suppose it is possible that there's a few women who have the attitude you describe, just as there's always a few bad apples in every group, but I don't think it's as widespread as you're implying. Also, the feminist movement has not gone far enough. I will not think that until women make the same as men for the same work and we don't have to live in fear of being raped or beaten up. When we've got a culture that actually respects us and treats us as human beings, rather than as some aberration, then it's gone far enough.

"I’ve noticed a lot of women who stay at home (while the husband is working and supporting her) thinking it’s not their job to maintain a clean home. They want the man to come home (after a hard day of work) and clean up messes left by both or woman who simply won’t do a job in the work place because “they can’t do it.”" the woman you describe here is just lazy and spoiled and she needs to grow up!
but as far as the feminist movement going to far, i don't believe it's gone far enough. studies show that men get paid more, are more likely to get most jobs, and don't help around the house. the women you described are few and far between.
it's a touchy subject and it's hard not to step on somebodies toes when bringing it up, i'd like to say you did a great job of avoiding any problems.

Women were not really liberated. Check out the prices of houses today -- these prices reflect the ability of DINK (double income no kids) couples to buy them, and not the population in general. So, instead of "liberated" think "equally yoked." Women are now, overwhelmingly, wage slaves, just like men, through necessity to pay the bills.
Women with careers are unlikely to have children, to the point that it almost seems genocidal; you can imagine that eventually the desire for women to have careers will be bred out of the human species, LOL.
I don't know what the solution is. As long as we're a capitalistic society, these problems will continue. And, of course, non-capitalistic societies have their own, different, set of problems which we (in the USA anyway) consider to be worse. Ah well. We chose. Don't know how are choices will fare in the long run.

Honestly I am happy as hell that I am very traditional and so is my fiancee, I work, I'll pay all the bills and she'll take care of the home. I feel women are just as good as men, but I feel I would not want my wife working as hard as I have to, because I love her and I want to be the provider, that's what a man does right. We have roles in life all of us, I like this question because it's true, today women want so much and still are not happy, women have all these opportunities to be anything they want and get paid whatever wages and sill not happy. I won't got into to much about other women coz seriously I don't care, I'm happy with the woman I have and how she treats me, I do what ever she asks of me because she treats me like a man should be treated. Thanks

Did you know that the original Feminists (Susan B. Anthony, etc.) were pro-life? They saw abortion as murder and destroying the family. Hasn't that changed! Modern-day feminazis, er, I mean feminists are completely opposite. Pro-choice and neo-feminism practically go hand-in-hand today. However, if you look at the history of the modern pro-abort movement, you'll find it was started by men! No woman would come up with something so self-destructive and anti-family.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, YES!
I totally agree!
I think a lot of it could come from either being spoiled as a child, or not being spoiled and wishing they could be..
