I just saw a commercial for Barbie dolls with highlights in her hair. I think it's a bad idea because her blonde hair is sort of a trademark. What do you think?

i think that its good to see a change in something.maybe barbie is bored with her old blonde hair.after all she always made vast changes (being a mermaid, fairy etc). changing her hair colour wont make any different.people will still know her as BARBIE!

If barbie was a realistic and positive role model for young ladies I'd think that wasn't right, but after all, she looks more like a stripper than a mum already so perhaps it isn;t a big deal.
In a few years Barbie will have an optional belly button ring

Barbie is free to change her hair color the same as any woman. As often as she changes careers even. If she were real, she'd be having to dye it anyway. I'm sure the vast majority of Barbies sold will continue to be blonde.

Well, blound hair isn't their trademark. Afterall, there are black Barbies and all different nationalities. But I have a black barbie that has highlights for their hair. I like it. So I give it a Thumbs up. But it's up to you.
