some of the answers already are great. it may be cheap that you are looking for, but keep in mind most of these are going to require a lot of hard work.
some states have a recycle place that may give you a check for returning cans and what not. depending on where you live, it may be too late (weatherwise) to have a yard sale, but it may be worth it. have friends and family donate their stuff to you, and have at it!
cleaning houses is a good self starting business, if you are good at it, you could get some serious cash, it requires not too much experience, and you could get make some good friends along the way.
Don't forget ebay, where you can sell lots of good stuff!

Go buy a few boxes of candy and sell them for $1 each, make a little sign to put on the box and have parents take them to work

My soccer group is making plans to throw a Halloween social gathering/competition to improve funds. yet that's going to be on Oct. twenty ninth. Bake sales and candy bag sales consistently do quite nicely in my college. extraordinarily once you sell to the novices who are not allowed to bypass away college for lunch yet.

My specialty, I work for a non-profit organization, and we have fundraisers all the time. We've done bake sales, bottle returns, yard sales, penny drives, does any of these help?

Have a carwash
sell chocolates and sweets
Look for companies on the internet that will give u products 2 sell an d they give u profit.
Garage sale.
go for the lottery.
have friends do tutoring.
