NO ..way...It would be like putting a motorcycle motor in a cadillac.. Buy a new complete XP computer system.. Including Printer, keyboard, monitor, external drives etc.. DO NO ADD ANY OLD HARDWARE TO WINDOWS XP.... Windows XP does like OLD hardware and nor does it like some of the older software..

You can install Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2 or Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 on your computer without any problem.it’s a good idea to check with your computer manufacturer to see whether a BIOS upgrade is available before you proceed. you can run a Check system compatibility wizard which is present in the xp cd.

You can run the Operating System, but you won't have much RAM left for demanding programs. No video/photo editing, games, or programming. 256 MB is really inadequate for computing nowadays, just get another stick of ram for 30 or 40 bucks, you really need it.

your ram is okay, but you need to find out how many GIG. your harddrive is,if it is under 40 gig,xp will load,but you will not have any room for anything more,40gig or above,you are good to go...good luck
