I have never been pot-holing and I never will. Just writing about it here fills me with fear !!

I've seen the descent and thought it was a great film. It made me hate pot-holing even more though.

I can't imagine anything worse than being trapped in a tunnel underground and only being able to move in one direction....

Got to stop typing now....hands are shaking too much at the thought of it.....

I have done pot-holeing before, but many years before watching "The Descent"; Pot-holeing was a much scarier experience, as I discovered I suffer from acute claustrophobia!

Regardless of that, it is most unlikely that there are cannibals residing in the cave you want to investigate!

The bigger question for me is what the hell was it all about!

I have seen the film 3 times now and I still do not understand the end.

Did the girl go mad and kill all her mates and the film was her mental state or did it all take place? then how did her mate get outside the car at the end or was that all her imagination???

Aggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

Sorry................ No I have not been pot holing and yes I would despite watching the film but do not get me started on that again!!!

Tick To-ck.....

I did it, i hated it, it scared me, and it was cold and wet. i had to wriggle through bits on my back and it was very claustrophobic, the worst thing was, once I was in the cave bit, there was only one way out, which meant I had to keep going forwards and couldn't just climb back out. I hadn't seen the film, but i doubt the film could make me hate it any more than i do!

I am a caver but I haven't seen the film.

I don't think it would put me off, there are plenty of "haunted" caves and none of them have scared me yet.
