Moulin Rouge, anyway? (My girlfriend cries everytime she watches it)
Doctor Zhivago (THE sweeping, historical epic romance, and an excellent movie, which someone already mentioned)
Before Sunrise and Before Sunset (Two kinda quirky, very romantic and enjoyable movies)
Casablanca (obviously one of the greatest movies of all time, but also a great romance)
Lost in Translation (not your usual romance, but a very good movie either way)
Amelie (Lighthearted and fun movie...romantic but in a non-cheesy way. Very appealing.)
Titanic (A little over the top for me, but still a strongly romantic movie which appeals to many.)
Gone With the Wind (We all know this one...)
Shadowlands (Very touching story based on C.S. Lewis' life and romance)
And so on--there are tons..

The Notebook is probably the only romantic movie I have ever liked. Something about a man never giving up on the love of his life gets me.

A movie called "Always" made in 1989 with Richard Dryfuss and Holly Hunter.
Another good one is "Don Juan DeMarco made in 1995 with Johnny Depp (dreamy!!!) Marlon Brando and Faye Dunaway.
Both very good and very romantic movies.

Again by Sandra Bullock, "While You Were Sleeping." Something about the way she looks at people, and that mischievous twinkle in her eyes, and the fact it was made in Chicago :)
