My boyfriend told me last week he did not intend to take off for a high school football game this coming friday. I told him, since the game is 50 miles away, I planned to go shopping in a city nearby and then go to the game afterwards. I have followed the team all season.
He never once invited me to go with him. He told me he did not know if he planned to go and then he calls me to tell me he plans to go because he will use it as a vacation day off work. He went into great detail about going and never once said "would you like to go with me". I told him I would meet him there, but now I feel like I am being pushy and showing up at a ball game where I am a 3rd wheel somehow. He is mad because I told him I was on to another one of his shinnanigans. He cannot or will not leave his ex wife out of our picture and he goes to events where he knows she will be alone without me. What do I say now? I feel stupid. She is remarried and seems to have gotten on with her life.

Her husband goes with her to the outings. He seems to be very tolerant however, probably because of the astronomical amount of child support he gets from my boyfriend.

If she is remarried, is her husband following her to these outings? Why is she still hanging around if they are not together? I don't know if your being paranoid, If I were in your situation then I think I would be PARANOID too! You need to sit him down and talk to him and tell him how you feel. If that doesn't work maybe you should rethink your relationship. You don't want to always have to worry when she's around him. Maybe he can't let her go? Just talk to him and tell him how you feel. That's better than keeping your feelings inside.

I think the best thing to do is to tell him what you feel and ask him why you felt he never wanted you to go with him. Listen to his reason then make the conclusion after you have weighed things out in your mind.
