I going to write about my time on the tennis team.

Since I could apply tennis to so many things, which topic is best?

1. I am a shy person, but when I play tennis I feel like a more confident person (even though i'm not a geart player)

2. You can't judge people right away.
*I hated my coach at first but i like him now
*The way a player looks does not effect how they play.

3. I don't quit. My friends coaxed me into joining tennis and then I joined. They all hated the coach and quit. But I statyed behind.

I wouldn't do number 3. It might just llok like you are trying to please the audience, and that seems like a normal topic they might see.

I like number 1. Just make sure your voice is confident, and don't be apologetic for anything (like not being a great player) or appear to down yourself for being shy beforehand. But you still need to show how it had made you more confident elsewhere, not just the tennis court.

i would say topic #3 is the best b/c #1 is just going to tell colleges that you are shy and maybe that will give the wrong impression that you take awhile to get use to thnigs and you wont have good grade at eh begining of your freshmen year. #2 will send the wrong message again saying how you don't like coaches and teachers right away!

I think that number 1 would be the best. You can make it personal and also factual if you use statistics about self confidence and sports. Many school therapists suggest that a young person struggling with self confidence try something new, like a sport.

Probably number three, although the first one's not terrible. The third one reflects well upon your growth and development as a person, and demonstrates that you have skills important to college life.
