"If you want to keep a friend, never borrow, never lend."
I loaned a neighbour £400 to buy a car, she was to pay me back at £10 a week. Paid back for a few weeks and then I lost out. Didn't learn, did the same with a work mate, sold him a computer for £95. cheap as he was not well off. He paid me £10 I lent him a fiver back out of that 'cause he was short. Down a £100!!!!!!!!!!!! Another borrowed £200 after coming out of prison and was not working, he still owes me £125 after three years.
Learn mate, I have been caught out time and time again. The worst was my son in law, to help him start a hairdressing business in Weston Super Mare, lent around £4500 got back £1000. Not bad ah?.................
